Roznowski, Joanne (Vissers)
Joanne (Vissers) Roznowski, 95, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2013. She was born on August 28, 1918, in Ashwaubenon to the late Martin and Cecelia (Wilmet) Vissers. Joanne married the love of her life, Michael Frank Roznowski, on July 12, 1941, and he preceded her in death in November of 2003.
Joanne was a member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral Parish and was active in the St. Anne Society. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Vincent Hospital, card playing, baking, gambling in Las Vegas, and going up to the cottage at Pelican Lake. But most of all, she cherished being with her six children. Joanne's family meant everything to her and she and Mike would help them wherever and whenever they could. Her children always felt loved and knew they were the center of her world. She adored her husband Mike and together they made a great team. She will be sadly missed by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Diane (Dr. Philip) Rhyner and Linda (Donald) Hook; her sons, David (Barbara) Roznowski, Mark (Susan) Roznowski, and Denis (Patty) Roznowski; her grandchildren, Clifford (Tracy) Hook, Michael Patrick (Jenny) Roznowski, Denise (Eric) Broten, Dr. John (Christine) Rhyner, Paul (Amy) Roznowski, Andrew Roznowski, Alex Roznowski, and Emily Roznowski; her great-grandchildren, Logan Hook, Evan Hook, Carter Broten, and Bennett Rhyner; three sisters-in-law, Adeline Roznowski, Molly Roznowski, and Marilyn Roznowski.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Sr.; one son, Michael Jr.; five sisters, Agnes Vande Hei, Leona Nackers, Frances Vande Hei, Verona Van Lanen and Elsie Kempen; three brothers, Lawrence Vissers, Robert Vissers, and Bernard Vissers.
