Kathryn "Kay" Hasseler, 81, Green Bay, went to her heavenly home Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014. She was born Nov. 2, 1932, to Roy and Margaret (Rachals) Lautenslager. Kay was a 1951 graduate of West High School. On Sept. 5, 1953, she married William "Bill" Hasseler at Grace Lutheran Church. The couple celebrated their 60th anniversary this past year. Her faith was very important to her and she was an active member of her past church, Grace Lutheran, and her current church, Atonement Lutheran. Kay was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #185.
She will be missed by her husband, Bill; four children and their spouses, Bobbie Bierhals, Douglas and Anita Hasseler, Sue and Bob Byers, Diane and Russ Bertrand; her beloved grandchildren, Bobbi (David) Barclay, Matthew (Joy) Hasseler, Christopher (Racheal) Hasseler, Bradley (Heather) Hasseler, Darrin Byers; her three great-grandchildren whom she was very proud of, Thomas, Katherine and Elizabeth Barclay; two brothers and their spouses, Philip and Phyllis Lautenslager, Gary and Pat Lautenslager, two sisters, Suzanne Kloes and her husband, Gerald, Janet Lautenslager; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Judy Lautenslager, Lillian Cruz-Uribe, Rosalie Coel, Herman Hasseler, Daniel and Sally Hasseler; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Roy Jr. and Kenneth Lautenslager.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. There will be a Rebekah Lodge Service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Visitation will continue from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Atonement Lutheran Church, 2132 Deckner Ave. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with Pastor James H.
