Lillian Irene (Davis) Davitt, 95, Green Bay, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 surrounded by her family. Lillian was born October 21, 1917 in Argyle to Oscar and Christine (Hansen) Davis. Lillian married Al Davitt on June 30, 1947, and they shared 60 wonderful years together before he preceded her in death on October 12, 2007.

Lillian received her BA and MS degrees from the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh. She was a teacher and reading specialist in the Green Bay School District until her retirement in 1984. Her devotion to her students, family and friends was unending. She always put others first. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was an avid Packers fan and looked forward to the start of every football season. Lillian took pride in her beautiful flower gardens and enjoyed visiting with friends and family on her patio. Lillian will be remembered for her generosity, selflessness and her zest and enthusiasm for life. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be sadly missed.

Lillian is survived by two sons, Brian (Pat) and Dennis (Lynne); one daughter, Maureen (John Overman); two granddaughters, Sarah and Victoria; two grandsons, James and Michael (Becky); three great-granddaughters, Tiarra, Deanna and Danielle; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Al; four brothers, Donald, George, Paul and Orville; four sisters, Alice, Olive, Nina and Norma.

Friends may call at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev.
