Marvin C. Buchholz, age 89, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 after declining health. He was born December 12, 1924 to the late Alfred and Hazel (Kellner) Buchholz. On August 26, 1953 he married Elaine Wanek at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, New Denmark, WI.

In his younger years he loved to dance and listen to old-time polkas and waltzes. Aside from family and friends, Marvin loved horses and would rather have spent his time behind a team of horses than any other pursuit. Marvin farmed on the family dairy farm in Morrison Township most of his years with his wife Elaine and brother Norman until age and declining health led him to sell the dairy herd.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elaine Buchholz, Morrison; sons: Bryan Buchholz, De Pere and Larry (Lori) Buchholz, Maribel; brother Norman Buchholz, Morrison; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Don and Lucile Krebsbach, Green Bay; Mary Janz, De Pere; Deloris Buchholz, Wayside; grandson and wife, Matthew and Jennifer Holmes, great grandchildren Lakia, Matthew and Alexander, other relatives and many friends.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; brother Leland Buchholz, sister-in-law Virginia; father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Mayme Wanek and brother-in-law John Janz.

Friends and family may call at St. Clare's Catholic Church, 2212 Day Street, Greenleaf on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 9.00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken and Deacon Ken Kabat officiating.

A memorial fund has been established for the Morrison Fire Department or the Wayside Fire Department.
