Steinhorst, Mary A. (Ratajczak)

Mary A. (Ratajczak) Steinhorst, age 83 of Kewaunee died Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Bellin Memorial Hospital. She was born in West Kewaunee on September 8, 1929 to the late Andrew and Sophie (Blohowiak) Ratajczak.

She married Wilbert A. Steinhorst May 4, 1957 and he preceded her in death June 15, 2000. She and Wilbert farmed in West Kewaunee all of their lives. She was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Church and the Rosary Society. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with and caring for her grandchildren.

Survivors include five sons and three daughters-in-law: James Steinhorst; Robert and Lori Steinhorst; Mark and Nancy Steinhorst; Joseph Steinhorst; Dennis and Karen Steinhorst; one daughter and son-in-law: Ann and Randy Reinke all of Kewaunee; Eighteen grandchildren: Brooke, Janna, Jordan, Patrick, Cody, Michelle (Matt) Kinstetter, Daniel, Rebecca, David, Nicole, Jesse, Kyle, Dylan, Logan, Brittany Steinhorst, Travis, Jason, Lisa Reinke; one great granddaughter: Jakayla Steinhorst; two brothers: George (Kitty) Ratajczak, Green Bay; Dan (Carol) Ratajczak, Luxemburg; two sisters: Dolores Lemens, Luxemburg; Clara DeJardin, Dyckesville; sister-in-law: Delores (Jacob) Schleis, Kewaunee. She was preceded in death by one grandson: Tyler Reinke; two brothers-in-law: Lyle Lemens and Joseph DeJardin and one sister-in-law: Germaine Ratajczak.

Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday October 28 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee. A parish wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m led by Dcn. Robert Pribek. Visitation continues on Monday at the funeral home until 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Church with Fr. William Swichetnberg officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
