Mundigler, Pamela Lu
Pamela Lu Mundigler died Thursday, October 17, 2013, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was born October 11, 1948.
In 1966, Pam graduated from North High School in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She then enlisted in the Womens Army Corp, where her service included stations at Ft. McClellan, Alabama for basic training and Ft. Sill, Oklahoma at the military hospital treating wounded Vietnam soldiers.
Pam worked as a secretary at several auto dealerships along with her husband, Ray, who managed the businesses. She was also employed at JoAnn Fabrics before leaving there to care for Ray at home for eight years who was diagnosed with PICS disease, early onset alzheimers. She also provided much of the care for her mother, Wanda, and beloved stepfather, Al Nitz, until they went into a nursing home.
Pam's compassion and devotion for her family will forever be unmatched. She was loved by everyone that had the privilege of knowing her and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by sons, Lance and Carey Mundigler both of Green Bay; five grandchildren; sister, Kathy Yule, Nashville, Tennessee; brother, Dr. Scott (Anne) Marx, Parker, Colorado; mother-in-law, Josephine Mundigler, Milwaukee; six nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pam was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; father, Richard Marx; mother, Wanda Nitz; stepfather, Alvin Nitz; son, Shane Mundigler; two sisters, Christine Head and Susan Olson; and a brother-in-law, Jeffery Yule.
Visitation for Pam will be Monday, October 21, from 5 to 7 pm at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, where the memorial service will be held at 7 pm. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
