Ricky "Rick" Beyer Obituary
Ricky "Rick" Beyer, 51, Gillett, died Thursday afternoon, May 24, 2012 at home. He was born February 18, 1961 in Oconto Falls to Edward and Judy (Vanden Bush) Beyer. Rick grew up in Oconto Falls where he attended public schools, graduating from high school with the class of 1979. Following graduation, he worked at the former Midland Coop in Oconto Falls and Warvel Products in Gillett.

On October 10, 1987 he married Laura Miller in Gillett. Rick lived in Gillett for many years and was employed at Procter & Gamble for 19 years. He enjoyed fishing, especially ice fishing trips to St. Germain. Rick belonged to the Finnegan Lake Walleye Club, where he once served as its president, Trout Unlimited, Gillett ATV and Sportsman's Clubs. He also took a very active role and volunteered his time with the "We Believe" Christmas gift program at Gillett.

Survivors are his two children, Zachary Beyer, Gillett; Ashley Beyer, a student at UW-Oshkosh; his parents, Ed and Judy Beyer, Oconto Falls; one brother, Brian (Michele) Beyer, Oconto Falls; one sister, Cindy (Jack) LeFevre, Oconto; his maternal grandmother, Sally Vanden Bush, Oconto Falls; nieces, nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Randy, maternal grandfather, Joe Vanden Bush, paternal grandparents, Edmund Sr. and Agnes Beyer and Godparents, Julius Sr. and Frieda Beyer.

Visitation with the urn present will take place after 3 pm Friday, June 1, 2012 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Memorial services will be held 7 pm Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Doreen Jeffers officiating. Burial of the urn will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.
