Hertwig, Stewart A.
Stewart A. Hertwig, 68, Gillett, entered into rest Monday, Apr. 22, 2013, at his residence. He was born June 20, 1944, in Oconto Falls, to the late Leonard and Marie Hertwig. Stewart had many hobbies throughout the course of his life. He had a passion for playing the guitar, golfing, and watching his beloved packers. Stewart also thoroughly enjoyed attending his grandchildren's extracurricular events. He was a very active member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and the Gillett American Legion.
He is survived by one daughter, Jody (Hertwig) Olson (special friend, Clif) and her children, Nicole and Andrew Olson. He is survived by one son, Scott Hertwig (special friend, Maureen) and his children, Brian Werner, Casey Hertwig, Nicholas Hertwig, and Miranda Ness. Also surviving "Stew" in death is one brother, Claire (Elaine) Hertwig; one sister-in-law, Sue Hertwig; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Stewart is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Marie Hertwig; one brother, Roger Hertwig; one sister, Dawn Kohn; and a brother-in-law, Lyle Kohn.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 P.M. Thursday, April 25, at Kuehl funeral home, 108 E. Main St. Gillett for visitation. Visitation will resume the following morning, Friday April 26, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church, corner of West Main Street and North McKenzie Avenue, Gillett beginning at 10 A.M. The service will begin at 11 A.M with Pastor Doreen Jeffers officiating. A luncheon will follow the service in the church fellowship. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Gillett. Kuehl Funeral Home, 920-855-2144, will be assisting the family.
