Kornowske, Thomas R. "T.K."

Thomas R. "T.K." Kornowske, 74, Green Bay, died Sunday, February 17, 2013. He was born January 19, 1939, in Green Bay, to Russell and Margaret (McDonald) Kornowske.

Tom worked for the House of Ryan for 17 years as a heavy truck mechanic, and later for the City of Green Bay Public Works for 28 years. He worked recently for the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau. On August 8, 1955, Tom married Mary A. Wiese in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on December 14, 1999. On February 3, 2001, Tom married Mary A. Meyer at St. Jude Catholic Church. Tom and his family enjoyed spending a lot of their time at their cottage on Crooked Lake. He will be remembered for his quick wit and humor, and his many, many "one liners".

Tom is survived by his wife, Mary; children and their spouses, Debbie and Randy Breecher, Barbara Ludke, Doris and Sam Brice, Bob Kornowske, Debra and Josh Schuster, David and Eleanor Meyer; grandchildren, Tasha, Tom, Tim, Emily, Allison, Melissa, Jennifer, Jill, Jeff, Joshua, Nicholas, Joseph, Alicia, Aaron, Peter; one great-grandson, Logan; his sister, Phyllis Last; and his two dogs, "Maggie" and "Jiggs".

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary A. (Wiese) Kornowske; a son, Russell; his parents; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Last.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home with Ann Froelich officiating.
