Victoria Loretta Russell Obituary
Russell, Victoria Loretta

Victoria Loretta Russell, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at Century Ridge assisted living home on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, the day after her 96th birthday. Victoria was born August 20, 1917, in Chicago, Illinois to Albert F. and Adele F. Kurcz. She was known by many names during her life: Victoria, Loretta, Vicky and Lori, but her favorite was Gramma as she was called by one of her closest friends who was like a "granddaughter" to her, Julie Hussin. On October 8, 1955, Loretta married Vernon L. Russell and they made their home in Green Bay,Wisconsin. She was employed for many years by St. Vincent Hospital. She had a special place in her heart for animals. She lived a very full and long life but was ready to go home to be with her Lord and Savior. Among her favorite things was visiting with friends and family, watching the Green Bay Packer games and the color red. She will be remembered fondly and sadly missed by many.

Survivors include her very close friends who were like family to her, Bob Conard and Tina, Julie and Tom Hussin, Sandy and Jim Neerhof….and her cat, Little Bobby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon on January 1, 2001; her parents and one brother.

Special thanks for care given by Unity Hospice and the nurses at Century Ridge.

Friends and family may call from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30p.m. with Rev. Ken De Groot O.Praem officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Howard Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at
