Virginia Felhofer, 84, Sturgeon Bay, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at her home.

She was born Jan. 14, 1927, the daughter of the late Frank Joseph and Gladys Ann (Kreyche) Felhofer. After graduating from high school Virginia worked as a bookkeeper for attorney W.E. Wagener, for Parson Accounting, and for Johnson Law office.

Virginia was a devout and active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Christian Women. She enjoyed doing photography, researching genealogy, walking, writing poetry and inspirational readings.

She will be missed by her sister, Margaret "Peg" Kirley, Pewaukee; two brothers, Francis (Carol) Felhofer, Sturgeon Bay; and Bill (Marie) Felhofer, Germantown; her many nieces and nephews who were like her children; and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; nephew, Greg Felhofer and his son, Brian.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Konkol OFM and Fr. Anthony Birdsall concelebrating. Burial will be made at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call at Huehns Funeral Home on Friday evening from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. On Friday there will be a Christian Women's rosary prayed at 3:45 p.m. and a parish wake service prayed at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Virginia's memory for St. John Bosco Catholic School in Sturgeon Bay.

A special thanks to Joanne Withers and the Unity nurses for their compassionate care. Virginia was especially thankful to Fr. Konkol, Fr. Schmitt, and Fr. Birdsall for their visits and comforting spiritual ministry. To her dear friends, Pam Marsh, Marian and Bill Baudhuin, Mary Lindhorst, and Dan Beauchamp, a very special thank you for your friendship and assistance. Thank you to her nephew Tom Felhofer and his wife Lynn for their help care during this period of illness. And to all her other family, friends and church family, Virginia was grateful for their friendship.
