Collins, Walter "Wally"
Walter "Wally" Charles Collins, 82 of DePere, passed away November 4, 2013 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.
Wally was born on August 25, 1931, the sixth of Henry and Lilly Collins' seven children. He was raised on the family farm, which planted the seeds for his life-long love of gardening. Wally loved to share the fruits of his labor with family, friends, neighbors and local food pantries. He graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1950. In 1965, with the help of his dear friend Bob Davis, he established Walter C. Collins, Inc., a foundation company. He owned and managed the company until his retirement in 1996. Wally had a green and gold heart. He loved the Green Bay Packers from the time he could sneak under the fence at City Stadium until the final game he watched from the Lambeau Field club seats last month.
Wally is survived by Karen, his wife of 42 years; his sister, Ruby; his children, Tim, Bill, Kim, Leslie, Mickey and John as well as 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two brothers and a grandson.
