Jerome P. "Harry" Jurecki, 83, Krakow, died Saturday evening, Nov. 26, 2011, at Woodlands of Gillett. The son of the late John and Anna (Surma) Jurecki was born on Sept. 12, 1928, in Krakow, where he was a lifelong resident.

Harry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Alwin Manufacturing in Green Bay, until his retirement. Harry loved being outdoors, and especially enjoyed gardening, landscaping, and taking care of his flowers. Jerome was a faith-filled man who had a deep devotion to Jesus and the Blessed Mother.

He is survived by one brother, Tony Jurecki, Krakow; one sister, Betty Hessing, Shawano; several nieces and nephews, John Jurecki (Bonnie Ausloos), Sampson; Chris Jurecki (Tom Dolota), Krakow; Mike Jurecki, Krakow; Connie (Gerard) LaBrosse, Sobieski; Quinn (Jenny) Jurecki, Krakow; Brian (Sherri) Jurecki, Gillett; Jerry (Lynn) Jurecki, Krakow; and Kathy Jurecki (T.D. Bishop), Lena.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, John and Casey Jurecki; one sister, Julia Jurecki; a sister-in-law, Ann Jurecki; and one brother-in-law, Ray Hessing.

Friends may call at St. Casimir Church, W146 Park Street, Krakow, from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, Fr. James Esser, O.F.M. presiding and Fr. Finian Zaucha, O.F.M. concelebrating. Burial with take place in the parish cemetery with full military honors by the Pulaski Area Veterans. Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, is serving the Jurecki family.
