Alice Elaine (Josephson) Steinbrinck, 85, of De Pere, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, surrounded by her family at the Renaissance Assisted Living Facility. She was born November 11, 1928, in Minneapolis, MN to the late Selmer and Grace (Hedges) Josephson. Alice earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Wheaton College, her Master's Degree in Special Education from UW-Oshkosh, and was an elementary physical education and special education teacher for many years in the Green Bay School District. She also served on the Board of the YWCA, was a member of the Green Bay Service League, and the Lawyers' Wives. She was very active in the United Methodist Church Food Pantry and their Seekers Group.

Alice was a die-hard Packer fan and avid gardener. She loved spending time and watching her family grow in Door County while playing Uff da or gin rummy. She enjoyed the beach of Lake Michigan, the seagulls overhead, bonfires, and the laughter of her family and friends.

Alice is survived by her four children who loved her dearly, Karl (Amy) Steinbrinck, De Pere; Karol (Brad) Hitt, Mequon; Kurt (Cheri) Steinbrinck, Green Bay; and Kyle (Julie) Steinbrinck, Denver, CO. She was blessed with nine grandchildren, Kasey (Ashley) Steinbrinck, Justin (Jamie) Steinbrinck, Erin (Michael) Trudeau, Ellen (Chris) Haataja, Rebecca, and Isabel Steinbrinck, Anika Hitt, Grace, and Michael Steinbrinck; and four great-grandchildren, Max, Cole, Milo, and Campbell. She also loved her three granddogs and her great-granddogs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; a sister, Daytha Long; and a brother, Wesley Josephson.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22nd at First United Methodist Church, 501 Howe St. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
