Kellner, Brian A.

Brian Anthony Kellner, 57, Denmark, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 28, 2014. He was born May 18, 1956, in Green Bay to Richard Michael and Gloria (Beth) Kellner, who survive. Brian married Luann B. Tahlier in 1997, who also survives. He worked at American Can Georgia Pacific from March 1979 until his retirement in 2013. Brian was a longtime member of The American Legion Sullivan-Wallen Post 11, 40 et 8 and Ducks Unlimited. He ran the Outdoor Sports Awards Program and Banquet for many years from James Rivers Paper Mill. He was a member of the American Legion Color Guard for all home Packers games and Military Honor Funerals for deceased Veterans.

He loved being outdoors, hunting, trap shooting and fishing. He most especially loved being up north at Camp Matthew. Brian was an avid gardener, loved riding his BMW and relaxing while wood carving and whittling. He was a dog lover, having had at least 13 dogs, mostly chocolate and black labs during his adult life, currently his two dogs are Say-dee and Pugsley and his "grand dogs" are Roxy, Kelsie and Buddy.

He was survived by one son and one daughter, Earl (Kim) Kellner, Amanda (Steve) Williams; step-son and step-daughter, Pete Peterson and Missy (Scott) Kueter; five brothers and one sister, Mic (special friend, Lynn Spielman), Gwen (Dan) Green, Rick (Michell), Rob (special friend, Nancy Nuthals), Andy (Jean) and CJ (special friend, Theresa Mileski); mother-in-law, Donna Tahlier; three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Mike (Michele) Tahlier, Peggy Tahlier, Jerry (Lisa) Tahlier and Duane (Julie) Tahlier; grandson, Austin; one step-granddaughter and two step-grandsons, Abbie, Dakota, Brady Peterson; 18 nieces and nephews; 9 great-nieces, great-nephews and one great-great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, Matthew Kellner, one step-nephew, Cody Green and father-in-law, Jerry Tahlier.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 1st. The Prayer Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Michael Williams officiating. Friends may also call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 2nd until the American Legion Memorial Service at 10:45 a.m. and Military Honors at 11 a.m. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
