Kelsey, Edmond R.

Edmond R. Kelsey, 71, Oneida, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 13, 2014, with his family by his side. He was born January 23, 1943, in Green Bay to Louis and Eva (Nellis) Kelsey.

Ed graduated from Green Bay West High School, Class of 1961. On May 30, 1964, he married Sharelle Murphy, and they would have celebrated their 50th Anniversary in May. Ed was employed by Wisconsin Kenworth, retiring in 2010, after more than 40 years of service. He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Parish, Oneida. Ed enjoyed time with his golfing friends at Crystal Springs, good friends from the Safari Club, and his buddies from the Bay Motel Coffee Shop. He especially enjoyed spending time at the cottage, hunting, fishing, riding his tractor, and watching the Packers. Ed was looking forward to time in their new condo in Florida. Above everything else, he loved peace and harmony.

Ed is survived by his wife, Sharelle; his children, Todd (Kelly) Kelsey, and Jane (Jeffry) Singer; grandchildren, Andrew, Alex and Annalise Kelsey, and Samuel, Abigail and Jake Singer; siblings, Don (Alba), Pat (Darrold), Bob (Judi), Tom (Carol), Karen (Jeff), Cliff, Karl (Mary), Paul (Debra); brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary (Sandra), Tom (Linda), Steven, Mary (Michael); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, Elaine, Shirley, Clayton and Jerry.

Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 145 St. Joseph Dr., Oneida, from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday (TODAY). Friends may also call from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev. John C. Katamba officiating. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
