Nancy Frances (Geurts) Kolb, 75, De Pere, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014. She was born September 20, 1938, in De Pere to the late Leo and Marie (Vanderheiden) Geurts. On August 18, 1956, Nancy married Jerome "Jerry" Kolb at St. Mary's Catholic Church in De Pere. He preceded her in death in 1983. On Feb. 9, 1985, she married Darwin Ringblom.
Nancy graduated from St. Mary's Grade School and East De Pere High School, in the Class of 1956. Nancy and Jerry owned and operated Service Master. She had been employed at the Chatter House Restaurant. After Jerry died, Nancy devoted much of her life to the church and attended classes at St. Norbert College to further develop her knowledge and skills in her role of Religious Education Coordinator at St. Mary's Parish in De Pere. She also tirelessly devoted herself not only to family and friends in need of compassionate care near the end of life but to new friends through volunteering with Unity Hospice. Nancy was an amazing flower gardener and took pride in sharing her beautiful yard with all who passed by. She appreciated beautiful things and was an artist, a crafter and shared many of her creations with family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Keith and Maureen Kolb, Milwaukee; Kim and Randy Bani, Ashwaubenon; Terri and Keith Miller, Minocqua; Tammy and Randy Austin, De Pere; step children, David, Mark and Steve Ringblom; 15 grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan, Erin, Daniel, Michael, David, Anthony, Tiffany, Brooke, Mason, Sawyer, Skyler, Jessica, Chase, Josie; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ann (Harry) Baeten, Lynn Geurts; and one brother, Ken (Ann) Geurts.
Nancy was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerome "Jerry" Kolb; her second husband, Darwin Ringblom; one sister, Rosalie Sinclair; an infant brother, Ken Geurts.
Friends may call at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, De Pere from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with Rev. Richard Getchel officiating with Rev. Kenneth De Groot, O.Praem concelebrating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
