Herlache, Finley

Finley W. "Fin" Herlache, Green Bay, went home to Jesus Wednesday, April 16, 2014, surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends. He was born August 1, 1921, in Door County to Jules and Rose (Delfosse) Herlache. Fin graduated from Brussels High School. On September 28, 1968, he married the love of his life, Yvonne "Vonnie" Boucher. Dancing together was their life. Finley worked at Clark Oil until the business closed, and later retired from Bay Lakes Manufacturing.

Fin enjoyed playing cards, feeding the birds and squirrels, and going to the casino. The cottage at Sand Bay was a favorite place to spend time with his family and friends. And his old fashioneds are now known as Finleys. His memorable toast, "That's very good and I'll drink to that!" Family was his priority and he enjoyed spending time with his children and attending the events of his grandchildren. He was a longtime member of St. Bernard Parish.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Vonnie; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Dick Donarski, Laurie and Dean Giese; four grandchildren, Brian (Sara) Donarski, Saige, Trinity and Raif Geise; two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Brooke Donarski; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Wayne and Sandy Boucher, Delano Jansen; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Kermit and Flora Herlache, Milton and Lorraine Herlache, and Cynthia Jansen.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the church with Rev.
