Rybicki, Darlene A.

Darlene A. Rybicki, 68, Green Bay, died Monday, April 21, 2014, due to complications from an illness. She was born July 27, 1945, in the Town of Scott to Russell Arthur and Esther Evelyn (Renier) Drews.

Darlene was a graduate of Preble High School, Class of 1963. During her teens, she would do farm chores and answer phones at Bay Heating. In spring of 1963, she started working at Schreiber Foods. Darlene met Randy Rybicki in May of 1967, and after dating for nine months, Randy gave her a ring in February of 1968. On August 3, 1968, they were married. Before they started a family, Darlene only worked weekends at Red Banks Supper Club. After her daughter was born, she became a full time mother. Darlene also became a caregiver to her daughter, grandchildren and her husband. She was an awesome wife, mother, grandmother and good friend to many.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Randy; her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda M. Rybicki-Smith and James Smith; grandchildren, Cearra M. Burt and Carissa E. Burt, Stephanie L. Vogel, Shelby N. Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Donna (James) Wiggins; brother and sister-in-law, Dann (Kathy) Drews; sister-in-law and her husband, Carol (Clarence) Penkwitz; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Greg Watling officiating. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
