Rottier, Jean

Jean Rottier, 66, of Ashwaubenon, entered Eternal Life following a five year battle with ALS on Wednesday evening, April 30, 2014. The daughter of Gloria (Soyck) Vande Voort and the late Douglas Vande Voort was born June 14, 1947, in Shawano. She married Robert "Bob" Rottier on July 21, 1973, at Nativity of Our Lord Parish.

Her artistic talents were varied and included photography, quilting, card making, sewing, genealogy, and cake decorating. Jean was a great baker and enjoyed trying new recipes. She worked in food service for the Ashwaubenon School District for 15 years. She was also an active member of Nativity Parish, where she and Bob were involved in Marriage Encounter, Love Life Programming, and baptism preparation for many years. Jean was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother, and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Jean's family includes her husband, Bob, their children, Dustin (Tracie Van Gheem-Rottier) Rottier, Rachel (William) Soderdahl, Stephanie Rottier, Mitchell (Kari) Rottier, grandchildren, Giselle, Garrett, Gretchen, Ari, Jean's mother, Gloria Vande Voort, siblings, Jo (Gene) Hilpert, John (Debbie) Vande Voort, Janette (Larry) Schott. Her in-laws, Geri Rottier, Richard (Mary) Rottier, Gerald (Janice) Rottier, Raymond (Janice) Rottier, Dale VanErem, Roland "Peck" (Joyce) Rottier, Harvey (Alice) Rottier, Catherine Rottier, and Jean Rottier. She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Vande Voort, brother, Michael Vande Voort, father-in-law Christian Rottier. brother-in-law Bernard Rottier, sister-in-law Rita VanErem, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bob and Pat Goffard,

Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00 to 7:30 pm on Sunday May 4, 2014. A parish prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm Sunday to close visitation. Visitation will continue after 9:00 am Monday at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Oneida Street and Cormier Road in Ashwaubenon.
