Zehms, Patrick W.
Patrick W. Zehms, 66, De Pere, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, May 10, 2014. He was born October 30, 1947, in Green Bay to William and Kathryn (Mortell) Zehms.
Pat graduated from Premontre High School. After high school, Pat enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served in Vietnam. He married Ann Vande Velden on October 24, 1970. Pat worked various places throughout his life including, Prange Way, West Bank and Trust, Executive Air and The American Red Cross. He took great pride in his truck and loved early morning rides on his motorcycle. Pat made many wonderful friends in the Four Seasons Adventure Club and Marriage Encounter which he and Ann were involved in for many years. He also enjoyed singing in the choir at St. Jude Catholic Church and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was a proud member of a local Vietnam veterans group. Pat was also an avid walker and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Pat is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Troy Randall; three grandchildren, Keenan, Mallory and Lydia; his mother, Kathryn. He is further survived by his siblings and their spouses, Tom and Nancy, Scott and Linda, Kellie and Larry Brunet, Paul and Sharon, Susan and Wayne Georgia, Shawn and Carrie; special sister-in-law, Lynn Eiler; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, William; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Elizabeth Vande Velden and one brother-in-law, Ken.
Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the corner of Suburban Dr. and Lourdes Ave., West De Pere from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Father Tim Shillcox, O.Praem officiating. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
