Geneva Cretens, 93, Green Bay, died Sunday May 11, 2014. She was born May 20, 1920, in Rapid River, MI to Henry and Mary (Francis) Christoff.
In 1938, Geneva married Philip "Gus" in Ann Arbor, MI. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1996. In her younger years, Geneva loved to cook and was an ambitious baker. She was always busy with her five children. Geneva truly lived for and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. As a member of St. Agnes Parish, she was a woman of strong faith and loved being in church.
Geneva is survived by four children and their spouses, Gail and William Howes, Jacksonville, FL; Sally and David Davis, Green Bay; Margaret and Arnie Ogren, Gladstone, MI; and Catherine King, Appleton; daughter-in-law, Cam Cretens, Bourbonnais, IL; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip "Gus"; her son, Philip; a son-in-law, Robert King; and her brothers and sisters, Antone, Hortens, Irene, Lloyd, Thelma, Leo, Norman, Arthur, and Catherine.
Friends may call at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday (today). The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (today) at the church with Rev.
