Summers, William A. "Bill"

William A. "Bill" Summers, 79, of Oneida, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. He was born on April 15, 1935 in Green Bay. Bill had been an employee of the former Oneida Golf and Riding for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Bill enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage, putting together puzzles, watching WWE wrestling, and listening to music. Above all else, he cherished spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was an avid supporter of the Green Bay Packers and Oneida Bingo and Casino.

Bill is survived by his siblings; Ron (Cheryl) Summers, and Nancy Stevens; special cousin, Chaz Wheelock; nieces and nephews, Shelly Rae, De Anna, Tim, Stacy, Missy, Russell, Liz, Carol Jean, Laurie, Kristy, Becky; many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Other relatives and friends further survive William.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lena (Summers) Swamp; step father, Raymond Swamp; his sister, Phyllis Stevens; his brothers-in-law, Rollin Stevens and Israel Stevens.

Friends and family are encouraged to gather at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. The Oneida Hymnal Singers will perform at 6:30pm, followed by a prayer service at 7:00pm to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will continue on Monday at Ryan's starting at 9:00am until 10:00am when a funeral service will be held. Full military honors will follow at Holy Apostles cemetery.
