Judy A. Phillip, age 70, of 1432 Acorn Dr. Green Bay, formerly of Reedsville, died peacefully with her family at her side Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Manor Care West in Green Bay.

Judy was born May 18, 1944 in Boca Raton, Florida to Albert J. and Dorothy (Gilles) Larsen. Her father, Albert, was killed while serving active duty in the military during World War II. Her mother, Dorothy, then married Earl Severson, who adopted Judy as a child. Dorothy also passed away when Judy was just fourteen years old. Judy graduated from Bangor High School, in Bangor, WI with the class of 1962. She then furthered her education, attending several colleges throughout the state, earning a degree in human development & education from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. She was married to Don Phillip on December 5, 1970 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Reedsville.

Judy worked in Catholic Education for 34 years, teaching elementary education for several area schools which included: St. Mary's Catholic School, Reedsville; St. Gregory's Catholic School, St. Nazianz, (18 years - including serving as principal); St. Mary's Catholic School, Brillion, (also serving as principal); and St. John the Baptist School in Howard, until her retirement. After retiring, Judy also served as a substitute teacher for several years. She loved to get together with family and friends & enjoyed socializing; she enjoyed her card club of friends for over 35 years; she enjoyed bowling and golfing; and was an avid Milwaukee Brewer's fan.

Survivors include her husband, Don Phillip; one daughter & son-in-law, Danielle and Michael Tortorice of Fitchburg; two grandchildren, James Phillip and Zoe Judith; her father, Earl (Ione) Severson of LaCrosse; and three sisters, Sandy (Chris) Severson of Troy, Missouri, Barb (Rich) Davis of Onalaska, Nancy (John) Stouffer of Hayward. She is further survived by four sisters-in-law: Ruth Ebert Noack & her husband, Don of Kellnersville, Audrey (Jim) Ebert, Colleen (Roger) Meidl, all of Whitelaw, Michelle Phillip of Algoma; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, John Phillip and Jack Ebert.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Brillion. The Mass of Christian Burial will be con-celebrated by Rev. Timothy Brandt and the Rev. Tom Long, with burial to be held at a later date.

Friends may call at Holy Family Catholic Church, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, June 13, 2014. A parish prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, led by pastoral assistant, Rita Heraly. Visitation will continue Saturday morning at the church from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m.
