Wied, Joseph (Joe) L.

Joe L. Wied, Little Suamico, passed away at home on Sunday, June 15, 2014. He was born on the 4th of July in 1961 to Donald L. and Judy (Nelson) Wied. Joe graduated from Premontre High School and lived in the Green Bay area most of his life. Joe was employed as a machinist for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, hunting, having campfires with his friends and camping with his daughter. Joe had numerous hobbies including photography, electronics and building and flying RC airplanes. His passion was fishing and his favorite place to be was out in his boat with his dog Buddy. His birthday was his favorite holiday and celebrated with a big bang.

Survivors include his daughter, Fawn A. Fontenot; mother, Judy Palamara; father, Donald Wied (Sharon). Further survived by his siblings, Lynne Corbeille; Julie (Brian) Kamps; Christina (Edgar) Johnson; Jeff (Nicol) Kamps; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and his dog, Buddy.

Joe was preceded in death by his stepfather, George Palamara; grandparents, Justin and Irene Wied; Wendell and Sylvia Nelson who were very special to him.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane on Saturday, June 21 from 1 until 4:00 p.m. Memorial Service 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
