Yashinsky, Alveda

Alveda Yashinsky 84, of De Pere passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday June 19, 2014. She was born April 16, 1930 in Coleman to the late David and Stella (Venne) Belongia. On June 27, 1953 she was united in marriage to John Yashinsky in Lena. Alveda taught school for 37 years, the majority being in the West De Pere School District. She retired in 1987. After retiring, Alveda and John enjoyed traveling, Flea Markets, Auctions, and volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul and the SHARE program in Ashwaubenon.

Alveda is survived by her loving husband John, their children; Kathleen (Norm) Champion, Bob (Diane) Yashinsky, Nancy (Michael) Parascandola, Judy (Ken) Roskom, and Gary (Stacy) Yashinsky. She is further survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 9 step great grandchildren and her siblings; Audrey (George) Andrews, Shirley (Michael) Donovan, Douglas (Suzanne) Belongia, Clayton (Caroline) Belongia, and Natalie (James) Kaufman. Alveda was preceded in death by her parents, John's parents, and her brother in law, David Belongia, and sister in law Mary Markiewicz.

Friends may call after 3pm Sunday June 22, 2014 at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street in De Pere, with a Parish Prayer Service at 6:30pm to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will continue after 9am Monday June 23, 2014 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church corner of Cormier Rd. and Oneida Street in Ashwaubenon. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.
