Rugg, Lorraine M. (Gillis) (Verboomen)

Lorraine M. (Gillis) (Verboomen) Rugg, 73, from Silver Cliff, WI passed away Monday, June 23, 2014. She was born November 21, 1940, to the late Lillian and Elias Gillis. Lorraine married John Verboomen February 4, 1961, having five children together. After John's death on February 3, 1973, Lorraine went onto marry William (Bill) Rugg on September 7, 1985. He also preceded her in death.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be,

He put his arms around you and whispered "come with me."

With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away

Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, loving hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best!

Lorraine is survived by her five children and four step-children; Steve (Kathy) Verboomen, Appleton; Victoria (Bruce) Mertens, Crivitz; Pete (Cindy) Stengl, Pulaski; Mike (special friend, Helen) Verboomen, Green Bay; Lori (Tim) Margis, Crivitz; stepson Jesse (Barb) Rugg, Wausaukee; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Rennes West Nursing Home in Peshtigo, Heartland Hospice Care in De Pere, and Blaney Funeral Home in Green Bay, for the excellent care their mother received.
