Riis, Paul E.

Paul E. Riis, 64, died Friday, June 27, 2014. He was born May 3, 1950, in Cook County, IL to Robert and Lillian (Nyblom) Riis.

Paul served in the U.S. Navy. He spent many years aboard ships on the Great Lakes. Paul owned and operated Midwest Ship Service for several years. He also owned Red Fox Supper Club in Green Bay. Since 2006 he had been employed by Burcon Industries. Paul enjoyed Jeopardy!, riding his Harleys and taking trips to Mexico with Kathy. He loved spending time with his friends. In spite of his Illinois upbringing, Paul was a Packers fan.

Paul is survived by his daughters, Erica Williams, Dana Blanton, and Iris Riis; grandchildren, Ford Williams, and Reed Williams; his mother, Lillian Riis; two brothers, Jon Riis, and David (Terri) Riis; sister-in-law, Marisa Riis; one niece and two nephews; and his cherished companion, Kathy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; and a brother, Peter.
