Richard E. Klose, 84, Ashwaubenon, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014. He was born February 17, 1930 to the late Eric and Alma (Buettner) Klose. Richard served his country in the U. S. Army while stationed in Greenland. On July 16, 1951, he married Beverly Reedy at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano, Wisconsin.
Richard was employed by the Wisconsin Motor Vehicle Department until his retirement. He loved to hunt at his cabin up north with his brothers and was an avid Packer fan.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Cassandra (Ron) Berry, Brianna (Amador) Leal and Jamison Debold; his great-grandchildren, Griffin Berry, Julianna Leal, Natalia Leal, Amador Leal Jr., Logan Leal and Landon Leal; a brother, Jerry (Robin) Klose; a sister, Patsy (Jerry) Beilfuss; a son-in-law, Fred Debold; a nephew, Rick (Annette) Klose; his long-time friend, Pat Brown; and many nephews, nieces and close friends and his close pal, Shadow.
In addition to his parents and wife, Beverly Ann, he was preceded in death by his only child, Debra Ann Debold; and three brothers, Ken, Dave and Don.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue. Visitation will continue Friday, July 25 at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until noon when the funeral service will take place with Rev. Leonard Buelow officiating. The family would like to thank the staffs at Bellin Hospital and Unity Hospice for their care of Richard and also a special thank you to Pat Brown, Rick Klose and Steve and Kelly Heim for their help throughout the years.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Richard's name.
