Carol A. Widi-Spletter, 78, of De Pere, passed away Friday, July 26, 2014. She was born July 17, 1936, to Henry and Catherine (Fabry) Binish. Carol graduated from Green Bay West High School with the Class of 1954. On August 21, 1954, she married John "Jake" Widi Jr. at Annunciation Catholic Church. The couple was blessed with five children. John "Jake" preceded her in death in 1993. Carol worked for Schneider National for 25 years before retiring in 1993. On April 7, 2008, she married Donald Spletter, her long-time love and companion of 20 years. The couple enjoyed traveling together, especially to see family.

Carol was a talented artist and enjoyed painting keepsake portraits of friends' and families' pets on rocks. She was an avid golfer and cherished times spent with family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Spletter; her five children and their spouses, Bill and Du Qing Widi, Cheyenne, WY; Larry and Paula Widi, Woodstock, GA; Cathy Cravillion, Green Bay, WI; Dave and Julie Widi, Jackson, NJ; Robert Widi and Leoncio Ramirez, Oakland, CA; eleven grandchildren, JoJo, Siiama, Daniel, Kirstin, Jaclyn, Ryan, Nick, David Jr., William, Jianna, and Brayden; Donald's children and their spouses, Marsha and Jim Lisowe, Paula and David Feldner, Kathy and Larry Meyer, Thomas and Lori Spletter; step-son-in-law, Larry Bernard; sister-in-law, Marge Binish; brother-in-law, Giles Tassoul; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeannie and Dave Seitz, Grace and Jim Boehm, Dick and Mary Kendall; Donald's brothers, sisters, and their spouses, Doris Powell, Paul Jr. and Mary Jo Spletter , Elroy Spletter, Barbara and Ronald Fostner, Shirley Blade, Sandra and Edward Cunningham; Lee and Cherie Spletter; many nieces and nephews; Donald's sixteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Binish; her mother and step-father, Catherine and Elmer Kendall; brother, Robert Binish; and sister, Barbara Tassoul; and step-daughter, Donna Bernard.
