Beck, Marcella A.
Marcella A. Beck, 90, Green Bay, died unexpectedly, Monday, August 4, 2014. She was born December 21, 1923, in Norfolk, Nebraska to Fred and Nettie (Flint) Cook. Marcella worked for Paper Converting and retired when she was 70 years old. She kept close friendships with many past and present employees. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir until she was 88. Marcella enjoyed music, word finds and loved to travel.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Barbara Beck, Steve and Karen Beck; seven grandchildren, Nicole Beck, Autumn (Steve) Steinke, Heather (Jimmy) Leachman, Christian (MariBeth) Beck, Kristine (Thomas) Sladek, Randall (Christina) Beck, Andrea (John) Fagan; 11 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Alex, Katelynn, Samantha, Jillian, Izzabell, Gabrielle, Sophia, Cooper, Brewer, Sydney, Verona; a great-great-grandson, Ryder; nieces and nephews, Cathy (Ken) Schmidt, Debra (Al) Gullicksen, Cindy (Sarah) Fulton, Fred (Phyllis) Fulton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Paul Fulton; Irene and Chet Thorp.
Friends may call at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 341 Wilson St., from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Diane Rew officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum . Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the St. Paul's United Methodist Church Music Department in honor of Marcella's love of music.
