Canney, Jean A

Born the youngest of four daughters on May 10, 1922, in Channing, Mich., to Irving and Amelia Friess, Jean moved to Green Bay, Wis., in 1932 and passed away on Aug. 1, 2014, in Tempe, Ariz.

Jean was a 1939 graduate of Green Bay West High School and a 1943 graduate of St. Agnes School of Nursing, Fond du Lac. She was a loving mother to Mary Jo Miller (Gregory), Michael J. Canney (Colleen), Patrick J. Canney (Cynthia), and Ann E. Canney (Michael Billotte). Jean is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Edith Steil, Rita Fonferek, and Alice Scovell; and infant brother, Jack Friess.
