Paitel, Gladys F.

Gladys F. Paitel, 75, Green Bay, died Friday, August 8, 2014. She was born March 27, 1939, to William H. and Katharine (Philppi) Aldrich.

On November 28, 1959, Gladys married Ken Paitel at First Methodist Church, Oconto. She enjoyed working with the friends she made at her many jobs in the Green Bay community including a switchboard operator for the telephone company, a factory worker for Larsen Canning, a desk clerk at the Bay Motel, a computer programmer at A.C. Nielsen, in accounts receivable at Van's Supply, in the mortgage department for Green Bay Credit Union, and as a director at CR Credit Union. Gladys volunteered at the Red Cross, the Weidner Center, and at her church, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, as an usher, in religious education and as a liturgist. She and her husband enjoyed square dancing with the Whirl-A-Ways.

Survivors include her husband, Ken; four children and their spouses, Barbara and her fiancé Lonnie Schmit, Green Bay; Bonnie and Doug Clement, Wind Lake; Kenneth Paitel, Green Bay; Bennett and Denise Paitel, Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Mike, Douglas, Alex, Amanda, Kristine, Andy, Michael; four great-grandchildren; one brother and his wife, Charles and Margaret Aldrich, England; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Donna Aldrich, Lyle Knowlton, Violet Evraets, Everett and Sue Paitel, Carol and Dale Brehmer, George and Luann Paitel, David and Doris Paitel, and Phyllis Paitel; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Stacy Delforge; son-in-law, Michael Delforge; one sister, Naomi Tiegs-Pecor; two brothers, John and William Aldrich; three sisters-in-law, Maria Aldrich, Lorraine Knowlton and Mildred Ward; and a brother-in-law, Clarence Paitel.

Friends may call at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 341 Wilson Ave., Green Bay, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with Rev.
