Rita R. Adkins

Rita R. Adkins, 76, of Oconto, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 due to complications from a brain aneurysm. Rita was born December 7, 1937 in Green Bay to the late Lewis and Esther (Eliason) Lison. She married Bill Adkins on March 25, 1981. Rita graduated from Green Bay West High School. Her first job was with Wisconsin Public Service and she continued working in various positions with Alexander & Alexander Ins., Ramada Inn and Schenck and Associates. She was a co-owner of Beck's Bakery Lena in the 1970's. Rita was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Lt. Suamico.

Rita is survived by her husband, Bill Adkins, Oconto; two daughters, Juli (Tom) Baye, Oconto; Kathie (Bill) Beschta, Lena; son, John (Joi) Beck, VA; two step-daughters, Erin Adkins, AK; Nancy Adkins, TX; step-son, David (Tammy) Adkins, IL; sister, Carol Selissen, Green Bay; sister-in-law, Carol Lison, Green Bay; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Lison, brother-in-law, Jim Selissen and two husbands, Bill Beck and Dick Machowski.

The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Lt. Suamico, from 2 to 4 PM Friday, August 22, 2014. Memorial services will be conducted 4 PM Friday at the church with the Rev. Jerry Wirtley officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
