Shirley A. Killoran, 82, Green Bay, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 18, 1931, in Algoma to Frank and Selina Dufek. On April 4, 1951, she married Vernon L. "Pat" Killoran. The couple was blessed with 63 years of marriage and four children. She missed Pat dearly after his passing on April 30, 2014.
Home and family always came first for Shirley. When Pat left for shift work at the mill, she sent him off with a lunchbox and a kiss. When he returned, she greeted him with a well-kept house, and her hair and makeup perfect. She was always willing to sacrifice for her children.
Shirley was proud of being a good waitress and had been a longtime employee of Wally's Spot. As a young woman she enjoyed roller skating and always enjoyed dancing with her beloved husband. The couple also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino. A true passion of Shirley's was hunting for treasures at local rummage sales, auctions, and antique shops.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Ken Heim, Green Bay; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Judy Killoran, Seymour; Jim Killoran and Mary Morris, Onalaska; Gary and Michelle Killoran, Henderson, Nevada; eight grandchildren, Chad, Cody, Troy, Sacia, Moira, Emma, Collin, and Brennan; three great-grandchildren, Isaac, Noah, and Audrey; and one she was looking forward to meeting in September; four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Mamie Dufek, Dottie West, Fran and Tom Beimborn, Darrel Kolb, and Mary (Harold) Neville; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Sylvester and Irvin Dufek; two brothers-in-law, Jim and Grant "Skip" Killoran; two sisters-in-law, Colleen Kolb and Maxine Vandenplas.
