Herres, Franklin L.

Franklin "Frank" Louis Herres, 69, Green Bay, passed away on August 18, 2014. He was born on March 3, 1945 to Harold and Norma (Garner) Herres in El Campo, Texas. Frank worked at Huron Cement (now La Farge Corp.) for 30 years, retiring due to health problems. Frank was a very generous person, always willing to lend a hand. He was District Director for Wisconsin Wildlife Federation; involved with the Green Bay Area Great Lakes Sport Fisherman Club; the Brown County Conservation Alliance and spent many hours volunteering. Frank organized many banquets for WWF and raised money for young adult scholarships for college. He loved hunting, fishing and camping with his family. Frank also enjoyed his coffee gab sessions at the local gas station. Franklin was always very involved with his daughter's lives and cherished spending time with them. He will always be remembered for his pranks and sense of humor.

Frank will be sadly missed by his wife, Lana; daughters and son-in-law, Stacey and Dan Brannan, Heather Herres and her significant other, Chad Knaus and his children, Draven and Faith and a grandson, Sam, who Frank adored. He is further survived by his step- sister, Kay Evans; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 9:30 am until the memorial service at 12:30 pm with Rev. Steve Apfel officiating .Online condolences may be expressed at
