Johanna Smet Obituary
Johanna "Jane" F. Smet, 94, was called home to her Beloved Father in Heaven this Mother's Day, Sunday, May 13, 2012. She was born Aug. 9, 1917, in the Town of Eaton, to Michael and Rosalie (Kaminski) Krerowicz. On Feb. 14, 1945, Jane was united in marriage to Robert C. Smet in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 2004. Jane was a loving, generous, and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Prior to marrying Robert, Jane worked for Green Bay Clothing and once her children were grown she worked for Grancare Nursing Center.

She will be sadly missed by her children and their spouses, Wayne and Cheryl Smet, Coleman; Marlene and Bob Roloff, Greenville; William and Cheryl Smet, Michael and Debbie Smet, all of Green Bay; the grandchildren, Bob (Jody) Smet, Richmond, Va.; Brennan (fiancée, Jennie Nielsen) Smet, Green Bay; Natasha (Chris) Nowak, Neenah, Aaron Smet, Eric Smet, Tyler Smet, all of Green Bay; Jeri Lynn (Joe) Radart, Sugar Bush, Mario (Debbie) Ruiz, Pound; Rico (Erica) Ruiz, Neenah; Jericho (Liana) Ruiz, Hales Corners; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Omer Smet, Jerome (Vera) Smet, Joan Zuehls, all of De Pere; Kathleen Vaessen, Pound, Alvin Smet, Green Bay; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; her sisters, brothers and their spouses, Lucille (Lawrence) Deneys, Verna (Frank) Nitka, Cecelia (Walter) Rewolinski, Theresa Rozek, Christine (Harris) Cullen, Joseph Krerowicz, Louis (Estelle) Krerowicz, Valerian Krerowicz, Zygmunt Krerowicz; her brothers-in-law, Bill (Sylvia) Robertson, Merlin Zuehls, Terrence (Viola) Farrell; her sisters-in-law, Lorraine Smet, Betty Smet.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may also call at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev.
