Gajeski, Marsha (Achten)

Marsha (Achten) Gajeski passed away on October 4, 2012, after a 4 month battle with metastatic biliary cancer. She was born October 13, 1953, to the late Albert and Dorothy (Angerman) Achten. She is survived by her husband of 39 years Daniel; 3 children, Jason (Monica), Adam (Lydia), Katie and 11 grandchildren, Kalyn, Allyson, Daniel, Raechal, Kylei, Kelsey, Avaliese, Lethan, Bruno, Megan, and Julia. She is further survived by her brothers, Dave (Beth) Achten, Bruce Achten, Steve (Sharon) Achten and her sister, Dale (Bill) Christianson, and many nieces and nephews. Marsha was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who has been reborn into the arms of Jesus, waiting in heaven, where we will all be together again one day.

Marsha loved spending weekends and vacations at her cottage on the lake in northern Wisconsin. She enjoyed fishing, especially bass, because she really had the patience it took. She loved riding on the ATV, in the fall, when one could smell the warmth and freshness in the air. She liked to snowmobile, but not when it was too cold.

Marsha grew up in Howard, WI, and graduated from Bay Port High School in 1971. She was employed at St. Vincent Hospital, in the IT department, for nearly 30 years. She always gave 100% no matter what. She was the type of employee anybody would be lucky to have. Even though she lived many miles out in the country, because of her boundless dedication, she never missed a day due to snow or inclement weather. If she was nervous about driving she would have Dan take her.

Family and friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2561 Glendale Ave., Howard, on Monday, Oct. 8 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. John Bergstadt officiating. Online condolences welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
