Elizabeth M. Tennant of Green Bay passed away on October 26, 2012 from complications due to breast cancer metastatic to her liver. She was born on October 2, 1937 in Winona, MN to the late Clarence and Elene Jasmer, the second of four children. She grew up in Winona, MN and moved to Green Bay, WI her senior year in high school. She graduated from West High School. She went onto nursing school in Milwaukee, WI and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She married her ex-husband, the late John Tennant, and raised five children. Beth was a bright, multi-talented woman, who had a strong, Christian belief and many interests. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, had a green thumb and loved gardening. She was a prolific artist, who knit, crocheted, and sewed clothes, some of which she sold in shops in Madison, WI and New York, NY. She also played piano and organ and was a skilled cook.
She instilled wonderful moral values and beliefs in her children, which helped shape them and have had an endless impact on their daily lives. She was an exceptionally caring and compassionate person, who was always willing to help others. Beth's loved ones had hoped that her time on this earth would last longer, but her strong faith prepared her for her journey home to be with the Lord. Her last days were cherished by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings plus nieces and nephews. She is now in a better resting place, and her family and friends feel that the Lord blessed them with her presence and guidance in their lives.
