Antone Jurecki, 80, Krakow resident, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 29, 2012. He was born on April 21, 1932 in Krakow to the late John and Anna (Surma) Jurecki. Antone graduated from Pulaski High and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force working as an Avionics Technician from 1951 to 1955. On March 2, 1957 he married Ann Tucholski at St. Stanislaus Church in Hofa Park. Antone worked at Ft Howard Paper Company and retired after 38 years. He also farmed his whole life and had the very first bale wrapper in the area. Antone was a lifetime member of the P.L.A.V. Post 178. His hobbies included hunting and fishing in his earlier years, and cooking and baking for family and friends. He was a caring man who was involved with many charities and volunteered his time and talents with many groups. Antone was especially proud of the time he spent at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iron Mountain, Mich.

He is survived by his five sons and three daughters-in-law, John (Bonnie Ausloos), Mike, Quin (Jenny), Terry (Lynn) Jurecki, all of Krakow, and Brian (Sharon) Jurecki, Gillett; three daughters and one son-in-law, Christine (Tom Dolata) Jurecki, Krakow; Connie (Gerard) LaBrosse, Sobieski; and Kathy (T.D. Bishop) Jurecki, Stiles; twelve grandchildren, Paul, Julia and Mitchell Jurecki, Casey, Elizabeth, Seth and Dana Jurecki; Jesse (Jessica) and Brent (fiancé, Mary Grace) LaBrosse, Caleb, Abby and Maddie Jurecki; two great grandchildren, Lucas and Curtis LaBrosse; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Hessing; brothers-in-law, Myron and John Tucholski; sisters-in-law, Proxida Taylor and Naomi Ebert.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; four brothers, Stanley, John, Casey and Jerome; sister, Julia Jurecki; brothers-in-law, E.V. Taylor, Robert Ebert and Ray Hessing.

Friends may call at the Jones Funeral Service, 107 S. Franklin St., Oconto Falls, on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish wake service 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue on Friday at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Krakow, from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Finian Zaucha, OFM officiating.
