Richard "Dick" Schaden, 61, Little Suamico, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, November 1, 2012, with his family at his side. He was born September 4, 1951 in Green Bay to Leonard and Lila (Van Dornick) Schaden and was a 1969 graduate of Pulaski High School.
On September 4, 1971 he married Nancy Kozloski, the love of his life, in Little Suamico. Dick had been employed as a produce inspector at Super Value Stores for 27 years, and CTS Trucking until the time of his illness. He enjoyed spending time with his hunting crew at their cabin in Silver Cliff. He loved the time he spent at his cottage in the Twin Bridge area. His favorite place to eat was Rene's Dining Room, where he especially enjoyed Wally's old fashions and the company of the numerous friends he made.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Nancy; three children, Kevin Schaden, Green Bay, Melissa (Rick) Peters, Lena, and Heather (Victor) Barron, Abrams; his grandson, Clay, who was his little buddy and always helped grandpa feed the birds. He is further survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Dorothy Kozloski, Little Suamico; three brothers, Robert (Jean) Schaden, Chase, Howard (Nona) Schaden, Oconto and Dale (Lori) Schaden, Oconto Falls, and his sister (with whom he shared his love of country music), Norma Peters, Suamico; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
