Myron G. "Chubby" Skenandore Jr. age 78 of Green Bay passed away Friday evening March 15, 2013 surrounded by his family from complications of Diabetes. He was born September 18, 1934 to the late Myron and Lucy (Denny) Skenandore Sr. On May 25, 1974 he married Marlene Skenadore. Myron was an avid follower of sports, whether it be the Packers, Brewers, or NASCAR, he enjoyed them all. His great grandfather played for the ACME Packers, long before they became the Green Bay Packers. Sunday dinner was a time for the family to gather, which was the most important thing to Myron. He had been one of the original members of the Buckskin Club in Milwaukee. Myron was a Dock Worker for 27 years and a member of the Teamsters. After retiring in 1990 he went to work security for the Potawatomi Casino, then moving to Green Bay and doing custodial work before retiring due to ill health. He is survived by his wife Marlene, his children; David (Rae) Skenandore, Lynn (Mark) Corbeil, Laura (Mark) Link, Kirk (Yvonne Jordan) John, Chrissy (Randy Powless) Skenandore, Michael (Zandra) John Sr., Bradley (Julie) John and Wendy (Robert) Madrid. Myron is further survived by 19 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, his sisters; Joan Biddle, Annette (Juan) Padron, Joyce Skenandore, as well as Marlene's family, Gordy L. (Judy) Skenadore, Richard D. (special friend Patsy Elm) Skenadore, Patricia Skenandore and Carol Skenadore, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Lois Jean, and his siblings; Ronald Skenandore, Lorraine Red Hail, Dona Skenandore, Kenneth Skenandore, and Wayne Skenandore.
Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street in De Pere after 4pm on Monday March 18, 2013. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 6:30pm followed by a parish prayer service at 7pm to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will continue after 9am on Tuesday at the funeral home until time of service at 10:30am with Fr. Robert Clarke officiating burial in Holy Apostles Episcopal Cemetery. The family would like to thank St. Vincent Wound Care for the years of care to Myron, Dr. Tim Moreau and nurse Connie, as well as Southern Care Hospice for making it possible for Myron to return home to be with his family for his final days. Special thanks to Dr. Sauvey, Nicole, Elizabeth, Erin, and the rest of the staff. Also special thanks to Dr. John Hutto for years of care.
