Andrews, Diane E.

Diane E. (Gille) Andrews, 69, Suamico, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013. She was born in Green Bay on Oct. 5, 1943 to the late Roland and Betty (North) Gille Sr. Diane married Carlton J. Andrews Jr. on Sept. 3, 1966. She was a homemaker and she was blessed with raising her five children and continued her care and devotion of children through her work in childcare at St. Mary's Early Childhood Center. She was a member of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church and was actively involved in the church choir, Peace Bible Studies Group, God Sightings and many other church activities.

Diane loved the time spent with her grandchildren. Her hobby was making personalized greeting cards for all and creating collage photo albums for each grandchild from birth to the present. Diane, Carl and her children enjoyed many years camping at Star Lake, cross-country skiing, walking, biking, fishing and traveling. She enjoyed going to the Y. Diane gave herself selflessly to everyone around her.

Survivors include her husband, Carlton Andrews, Jr.; children, Jim (Sherri) Andrews, New Franken; Chris (Colin) Andrews-Brett, London, England; Charles (Emma) Andrews, New Market, AL; William "Bill" (Chris) Andrews, Black Creek; Kathryn "Katie" (Steve) Wall, Suamico; seven grandchildren, Zachary and Alysha Andrews; Anneli and Ewan Brett; Luke Andrews; Kayla and Madison Wall; brother, Roland (Deborah) Gille; nieces, Jael and Kali; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dolores Parr; Richard (Vi) Andrews; Vera Andrews; Lyle (June) Andrews; Gerald (Darlene) Andrews; Darrell (Mary Ann) Andrews. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Carlton and Josephine Andrews Sr.; brothers-in-law, Ervin Parr and Donald Andrews Sr.

A "Celebration of Life" is to be held at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1350 Bond St., Green Bay, on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 9 until 11:00 a.m. Service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Online condolences welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Diane's name to benefit St. Jude Children's Cancer Research Center, Memphis, Tennessee and the local "Make a Wish" Foundation.

The family would like to thank the Oncology Department of St. Vincent Hospital and Unity Hospice for their care and support.
