Buss, Eugenie M. "Mimi"

Eugenie M. "Mimi" Buss, 98, Green Bay, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013. She was born October, 26, 1914, in New York City, NY, to Fred and Eugenie (Robert) Maxie.

Eugenie spent the early years of her life living in Paris, France, where she studied ballet and attended convent schools. After her mother died in 1922, her family returned to the United States. In 1927, she and her family returned to France and in 1929, returned again to America. In 1933, she met Harold E. Buss in Suring, WI. On September 12, 1933, they were married. Harold preceded her in death in July of 1991. Together they owned and operated a general store in Suring, but she spent most of her time as a devoted wife and homemaker. Eugenie enjoyed baking, especially for her grandchildren.

Eugenie is survived by her two children, Joanne Hanson, Harold R. "Bob" Buss and his special friend, Renetta; six grandchildren and their spouses, Cheryl Bergstrom, Paula Hanson, Lisa (Greg) Taisto, Robert (Donna) Buss, Jennifer Buss, Sara Buss; great-grandchildren and their spouses, Emily and Andrew Taisto, Nicole (Chris) Kane, Brent Bergstrom, Brendon Lehman; great-great-grandchildren, Brady, Owen; and a nephew and his wife, Dean (Dorothy) Westmeyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents; a son-in-law, Gerald Hanson; and many friends.

Friends may call at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1731 St. Agnes Dr., from Noon to 1 p.m. Friday (Today). The Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday (Today), at the church with Rev Scott Malme officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Suring.
