Peter F. Bosetski, 88, Town of Morrison died peacefully at home with his family by his side Wednesday, April 17, 2013, due to cancer. He was born April 26, 1924, in the Town of Eaton to the late Frank and Catherine (Jurczykowski) Bosetski. On May 18, 1946, he married Esther Ducat and together they raised seven children. The family lived in New Franken until 1961 where Peter worked as a herdsman for Duquines. They owned and operated a dairy farm in De Pere for 16 years before retiring from farming and moving to Morrison. Peter then worked at Strenn & Reynold Optical for 15 years, until the business closed. He then worked at Progressive Farmers in De Pere for 13 years, until he officially retired at the age of 82.
Peter enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends, bowling, fishing, gardening and putting jigsaw puzzles together. He especially enjoyed times with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Esther; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Richard Rosik, Denmark; Julie and Kerry Ambrose, Greenleaf; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Myron and Cookie Bosetski, Greenleaf; Wayne and Ellen Bosetski, Suamico; Darrell Bosetski, Clyde and Julie Bosetski, Greenleaf; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Anita Bosetski, Luxemburg, Francis and Kathy Bosetski, Antigo; eight sisters and two brothers-in-law, Verna Georgia, Green Bay; Theresa Cisler, Luxemburg; Marie Rutten, Green Bay; Martha Enderby, New Franken; Genevieve and Wayne Derbique, Rosemary Vandenbush, Carol Bosetski, Green Bay; brothers-in-law, Tony Barrette, Kewaunee, Ted Ducat, New Franken; Doris (Clarence) Ducat, Kewaunee; many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Bosetski, a brother, Stanley "Stosh" Bosetski; a sister, Esther Barrette; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Clifford Georgia, Norbert Cisler, William Rutten, Donald Enderby, Joseph Vandenbush, Pete Ducat, Walter and Odile Ducat, Victoria and Norman Wicker, Cyril and Libbie DeJardin, Millie Ducat; two nephews and one niece.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. There will be a parish wake service at 6 p.m. Sunday . Visitation will continue from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at St. Clare Parish-St. Mary's Catholic Church site, 2218 Day St. Greenleaf. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church 11 a.m. Monday at the church with Rev. Dennis Bergsbaken and Rev. Bob Kabat concelebrating. Burial will be in St. Kilian Catholic Church.
