Rose J. "Rosie" Przybylski, 91, Pulaski, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, with her family and her dog, Hope, at her side, following a tough battle with cancer. Rose was born September 15, 1921, in Abrams, to the late Stanley and Julia (Kuczek) Wegrzyn. On July 4, 1942, she married Joseph Przybylski in Sobieski, and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1976. Rose had been employed at Northern Shoe in Pulaski. She loved planting and caring for her flowers, cooking and baking, spending time with her family and friends, and her dog, Hope. She also enjoyed just getting in the car to take a ride and was always on the go, particularly with Sarah and Brittany when they were growing up.
Rose is survived by one sister, Kay (John J.) Szymanski and one brother, Joseph (Alice) Wegrzyn, all of Pulaski, the Przybylski family, a special friend, Edward "Eddie" Piontek, many nieces and nephews, cherished friends and neighbors.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law, Mary (George) Gianakopoulos, brother-in-law, John Modele, and her twin brothers, Adam and Theodore "Teddy" Wegrzyn.
Friends may call at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 124 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, after 10:00 a.m. Saturday. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church, Fr. Finian Zaucha, O.F.M. presiding and Fr. James Esser, O.F.M. concelebrating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Groteluschen and the staff at Green Bay Oncology, Dr. Christina Fergus and staff at Prevea-Pulaski, Dr. Daniel DeGroot and Dr. Zhaowei Ai of Prevea, Unity Hospice, Home Instead Senior Care, and Rose' neighbor, Chris Gering, whose care and compassion were so appreciated.
