Paul, Elroy A.

Elroy Paul, age 78 passed away in Green Bay on June 9, 2013 after encountering Alzheimers for many years.

He was born May 14, 1935 in the Town of Pierce, Kewaunee County, to the late Arthur and Elsie (Wessel) Paul. He graduated from Casco High School in 1953 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Liebmann Packing Company for 12 years and the Green Bay Press Gazette for 29 years as maintenance supervisor. He was a member of the Press Gazette 25-year Club and a former member of the Green Bay Elks Club, 1st Assembly of God Church, Interfaith Fellowship and attended Celebration Church. Elroy enjoyed traveling, dancing, riding his cycle, 4-wheeler and all the fun times spent in the U.P. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be remembered for his pleasant personality and infectious smile.

Elroy is survived by his caring wife, Carol (LeClercq-Marks) whom he married in 1982, his children Kathy (John) Haase; Karen (Todd) Watzka and Kevin (Cindy) Paul; grandchildren Blake, Brittany, Heather and Hunter Haase; Grant Watzka; Nadine and Grayson Paul. He is also survived by step-sons, Dan (Jane) Marks and Jeff (Amy) Marks; step grandchildren Kala (Brandon) Koehler; Kirstin (Dan) Neta; Karissa Marks (fiance') Josh Dryak; great-granddaughter Addy Koehler. Also surviving are brothers Harvey (Jeanette) Paul, Orville (Fern) Paul; sisters Violet Mraz; Eunice (Roger) Redlin and Bernice Siebert, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin (Ruby) Paul and his first wife Ellen, the mother of his children.

In keeping with Elroy's wishes there will be no funeral service. Family and friends are asked to remember him in private. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in his name. Online condolences welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com
