He was my boss in the military, my mentor and eventually my friend. He was one of the finest men I've met and I'm saddened to know he is gone.

Dr. Rozmiarek was a huge asset to our AALAS community and to the world of laboratory animal science. He always kept the science first and foremost in our field, and worked tirelessly to advance every aspect of AALAS. He was a huge resource for all things in lab animal care. I would visit him every month or so in the course of my work, and he was always welcoming. Thank you Dr. Rozmiarek, for giving time and help to us all. You are a huge part of many careers in our field and a mentor to all. I

Harry was a wonderful man. I was fortunate enough to know him from working at Fox Chase Cancer Center's LAF where he was Department Head.
He was a consumate professional and a very nice person. He always made his weekly rounds, and stopped to chat with everyone, which meant a lot to the Facility employees. I remember him giving EVERYONE in the Department a Christmas gift, I used to love when he brought in that orange cranberry bread Mrs. R made, it was delicious!
He will be greatly missed

I join the many admirers of Harry's accomplishments. The past two years, with the International Council for Laboratory Animal Science, allowed me to get to know and appreciate his many special qualities. I am grateful for all he has done for our field, and grateful I had the opportunity to know and work alongside Harry.

To the Rozmiarek family,
I worked closely with Harry on the DVB board for several years. What a wonderful, warm giving person. As a Counselor on the DVB board, he epitomized the word. Regularly providing advise from a long memory and history of working within the many facets of lab animal science. He so genuinely cared for people, animals and his profession. I am so blessed to have known him. I share in your sorrow.

I feel so blessed in having the honor of having known Dr. Rozmiarek. I worked for him for 6 years and knew him for 30. I always saw him as a substitute father (my father died Feb 1983 and I met Dr. R in August 1983), as a professional mentor and as a human being I wanted to inspire to be when I grew up. I have never met a man like him and will never forget the man himself. He meant the world to me and I want to thank God for the priviledge in allowing me to not only know him but was fortunate to be considered a friend of his. Thank Dr. Rozmiarek for all you have given me, my brother and my dogs. I love you and will miss you always. Kathy Ware, Columbus, Ohio
