Madeline M. Renier, 90, of Green Bay and New Franken, passed away on July 1, 2013, of a tired heart at the Jack and Engrid Meng Residence, in the arms of her daughter. She was born at home on July 19, 1922 in Sugar Bush to the late Theophile and Mary (Mathu) Jadin. Madeline was a gentle and easy going spirit and tolerant of all. Mom was happy enjoying the simple things in life, sitting outside in the summer, car rides and eating out.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanne Renier; twin sister, Marion Jadin; son-in-law, Gary Vannieuwenhoven; nephews, a niece, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold "Babe" Renier; her daughter, Mary Jo Vannieuwenhoven; brother, Gilbert (Emerence) Jadin; sister, Libby Ferry; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 140 S. Monroe Ave. from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial 12 p.m. at the church with Rev. Brian Belongia officiating. Special thanks to my cousins and their spouses, Dick (Betty) Breuninger and Susan (Jerry) Krueger for all their support and to friend Katie Geurts for being their in our time of need. Also thank you to the staff of Unity Hospice who gave mom such compassionate care in her final days. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
