Bagneski, Joseph "Joe"

Joseph "Joe" H. Bagneski, 80, Green Bay passed away on Tuesday,August 27, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital. Joe was born on June 5, 1933 in LaCrosse, WI, the son of the now late Frank and Fannie (Wilhelm) Bagneski. He married Jacqueline Nelsen in 1963 and she preceded him in death on June 22, 1964. He married Dorothy Ann Knuth on December 2, 1967 at St. Clement's Catholic Church in Sheboygan, WI. The couple spent the first 10 years of their marriage in LaCrosse and then moved to Green Bay.

Joe was employed by General Dynamics, Astronautics Division, San Diego, CA; Trane Co, LaCrosse, WI; ACNielsen and the Radisson Inn, Green Bay before retiring in October, 1998. He enjoyed time with his hobby of wine making for many years. After retiring he volunteered his time working for St. Vincent de Paul. He was a past member of the National Guard and Toastmaster's International, Club 1350 in Green Bay.

He is survived by (his wife of 45 years), 3 children, Julie Bagneski and her fiance' Tom; William (Kelly) Bagneski, Green Bay, Charles (Lisa) Bagneski, Green Bay; 4 grandchildren Jeffrey Thyrion (Angelei), Joseph Thyrion and his special friend Amanda, Stephanie Bagneski (Parker), Hannah Bagneski and 1 great-grandchild Zoey Thyrion and her sister Chloe, Kewaunee, 3 brothers David (Deloris), Wisconsin Rapids; Matthew (Michaelle), Lompoc, CA; Michael, LaCrosse, 1 sister Joan Roberts, San Diego, CA. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 infant grandchildren, 1 sister Dorothy Scobie, 2 brothers-in-law Dan Scobie and Wesley Roberts.

Gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 30, 2013 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church 312 Victoria Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Larry Canavera officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers donations to Paul's Pantry or St. Vincent de Paul would be appreciated. The family also thanks Sister Helen Keyzer and the wonderful and caring staff at St. Vincent Hospital IMCU for their wonderful care of Joe during his stay.
